Bernard Herscovich - President and CEO:
As BelAir Networks founding President and CEO, Bernard brings many years of management experience in large and small companies. Bernard's track record of creating innovative products in the wireless industry has been recognised with numerous awards including "Hot Product of the Year". Prior to BelAir Networks, Bernard was the President of Breezecom Inc. in Carlsbad, California, Vice President of Wireless at Newbridge Networks in Ottawa, and spent ten years in engineering and management positions at Nortel Networks. Bernard holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and MASc from the University of Toronto.
Ron Robinson - Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales:
Ron is a seasoned sales executive with almost 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has built and managed sales teams that achieved significant business development objectives with key strategic customers.
Prior to joining BelAir Networks, Ron was Senior Vice President, Integration and Services (North America), at Alcatel. He was responsible for managing business development and sales, as well as engineering, project management and network operations. Previously at Alcatel, Ron was Vice President of National Accounts (U.S., Caribbean and International), where he led sales growth in key vertical markets, including public safety, transportation, mobile networks and federal government. Before Alcatel, Ron was Vice President and General Manager (U.S.) at Newbridge Networks and was part of the transition team that integrated Alcatel and Newbridge into a cohesive high-performance business team. Ron also held a management position with Mitel Corporation, where he led sales to carriers, including Bell Canada.
Stephen Rayment - Chief Technology Officer:
Stephen is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of BelAir Networks. He brings more than 25 years of product and technology experience in the telecommunications industry -- most of that focused on wireless -- and has worked extensively with service providers deploying new wireless technologies. Previously, he led the development of broadband wireless products, the launch of broadband multimedia satcom equipment and the design of the industry's first wireless PBX at Nortel and BNR. Stephen is an accomplished speaker, author of more than ten patents, and is active in industry standardization, having served as an officer of the IEEE 802.11s ESS Networking Task Group. Stephen holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University, a Diploma in Administration from the University of Ottawa, is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School's Management of Technology program and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Peter Rose - Chief Financial Officer:
Peter brings over 20 years of experience to BelAir Networks, the last 10 with venture funded startups. Peter has played a leading role in two public offerings, two merger transactions and a number of venture financing rounds.
Prior to joining BelAir Networks, Peter was the VP of Finance and CFO with Solidum Systems where he closed three rounds of financing and played a key role in the sale of the company in 2002. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a B.A. from Carleton University.
Marcel Chénier - Senior Vice President of Engineering:
Marcel brings more than 20 years of experience to BelAir Networks, both with successful start-up organizations and with established mainstays of the telecommunications industry. Most recently, Marcel was Head of Engineering at Zhone Technologies Canada and was part of the management team that led the company from venture-funded start-up to public company. Previously, Marcel worked at Nortel Networks, where he was Prime for the Signaling Products portfolio. He also held a variety of management positions with Bell Northern Research. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and has taken many technology, business and leadership development programs through Nortel Networks.
Greg Williams - Senior Vice President, Corporate and Business Development:
With more than 20 years of senior management experience with leading wireless, telecom and internet service providers, Greg focuses on BelAir Networks Tier 1 service provider customers worldwide, helping them integrate industry-leading carrier Wi-Fi solutions into their networks and businesses. Previously, as executive vice president, business development at AT&T's Wi-Fi subsidiary, Greg's responsibilities included deploying new Wi-Fi networks for 3G offload. Greg's service provider career spans more than two decades and includes senior management positions focussed on wireless and internet services, technology, operations, and business development at AT&T, Wayport, SBC and Prodigy. Greg has also served as Chairman of two key wireless industry associations: UWCC (now 3G Americas) and the WAP Forum (now the Open Mobile Alliance). He holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University and a BSc from University of Missouri.
Ronny A. Haraldsvik - Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer:
Ronny joined BelAir Networks as the company's first Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer. A Silicon Valley veteran, Ronny has more than 22 years of global strategic marketing and industry experience from a range of technology segments including Radio Access Networks, Small Cells, Wi-Fi, web and video optimization, wireline networking and IP services, RFID, personal computing, wafer fabrication, software, and consumer devices. Most recently, Ronny was the VP of Global Marketing at Bytemobile, Inc., a company now recognized as a leader in video optimization. At Bytemobile, he led the launch of the company's new Adaptive Traffic Management initiative.
Previously, Ronny was vice president of marketing with SpiderCloud Wireless, a company he joined right after its Series A funding. While at Qualcomm, Inc., Ronny was the vice president of strategy and market development and vice president of marketing for mobile broadband. Ronny was also the vice president of marketing at Flarion Technologies, a company acquired by Qualcomm. At Flarion, Mr. Haraldsvik led all marketing efforts in support of industry awareness for Flarion and the introduction of its FLASH-OFDM technology. Before joining Flarion, he was the vice president of marketing with Nortel Networks' Shasta IP Services business unit. Former positions include director of North America's field marketing organization while with Bay Networks (acquired by Nortel Networks) and senior manager positions with Silicon Graphics as well as several leading advertising agencies in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Mr. Haraldsvik holds a BA from the University of San Francisco.
David Park - Vice President of System Architecture:
As Vice President of System Architecture, Dave brings more than 20 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry and is a pioneer in the development of wireless networks and products. Prior to joining BelAir Networks, he held progressively senior engineering and management positions with Nortel Networks, Bell Northern Research, STC Technology, and Marconi Communications. Dave has delivered wireless solutions ranging from cellular base stations, micro-cellular systems, in-building wireless systems, Wi-Fi products and fixed wireless access solutions. Dave has also developed long haul optical products used widely in the Internet core as well as some of the first GPS receivers. He holds a Masters of Electrical Engineering from the University of Surrey in Guildford, England, and is the author of six issued patents with three pending in wireless and optical systems.
Sivaram Nayudu - Vice President of Product Management:
As Vice President of Product Management, Sivaram has global product strategy and roadmap responsibility for BelAir Networks portfolio of indoor and outdoor small cells, controllers and management solutions including the company's GigXone system. Sivaram comes to BelAir Networks from Aruba where he headed up their global OEM partnerships with Alcatel-Lucent and Dell. Previously, at Meru Networks, Sivaram directed product management of the company's controllers and associated system software as well as interoperability activities with strategic technology partners. Sivaram's product management and product marketing experience includes management positions at Venturi Wireless, Spirent Communications, and Inktomi, among others. Sivaram holds an MBA from the New York University's Stern School of Business , a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Andhra University, India. He also attended Stanford University under the Honors Co-Op Program.
Colin Parry - Vice President of Supply Chain:
Colin brings more than 25 years of global operations and supply chain experience to BelAir Networks, working with start-up and established companies within the telecommunications, aerospace and consumer products industries. Colin has previously been a VP of Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics and Business Systems, as well as a Site and Plant Manager, in the UK, Canada and the US. He has been responsible for driving continuous improvement, product and cost reductions, operational efficiency on time delivery and quality improvements; while bringing products to market and integrating and streamlining business processes. Colin has also previously worked as an independent Operations consultant for start-ups and mid-size corporations. He has previously worked at Xyratex International as Senior Director of Operations and Site & Plant Manager in California, where he was instrumental at improving OTD, managing a significant growth and successfully implementing SAP. He also held a variety of other senior management positions with over a decade in Newbridge and Alcatel, as well as other major companies such as Curtiss Wright and Panasonic Matsushita Electric. He holds a Mechanical Engineering certification from the EITB in the UK.
